Occupational Therapy

Our occupational therapists help patients to safely and independently perform activities of daily living, including dressing, bathing, and cooking. Using a wide range of interventions, our therapists adapt tasks and modify the environment to enhance each patient’s ability to function in their physical and social environment. They provide sensorimotor treatments for strength, endurance, range of motion, coordination and balance, as well as therapeutic activities for cognitive integration and daily life skills.  Our occupational therapists provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, assist patient with splinting needs, and can help appropriately select and modify custom wheelchairs and mobility devices.  Our occupational therapy team works with children and adults to help develop and refine sensory integration skills and improve fine motor and bilateral coordination skills, which can in turn, improve their daily function.
